Re:   Update

I trust that all of you are navigating the Covid-19 outbreak with as little incident as possible.  We know that some have been directly impacted, and we hope for swift return to health.  All of us have been indirectly impacted, and we look forward to a return to a greater level of normalcy.  It was encouraging to see our nation’s leadership announcing data driven plans to do just that.

Continuing our communication on status of key actions as we work to recover from the fire at our Orange location.  We understand that this event has caused an interruption in normal service from us.

  • As of this writing, we continue to have zero cases of the virus within the entire SIFCO family. All three sites are fully operational, with a wide variety of safeguards in place to assure the safety of our team, and anyone required to visit each site.
  • The sixth press is on schedule to be returned to production at the end of the month. With three shift utilization, we now have the capacity required to recover and maintain schedule in the coming months.
  • The last two presses are on schedule to re-enter service in June/July providing us with growth capacity.
  • With the advent of the outbreak and the resulting schedule changes/fluidity, we are working with many of you in rescheduling requirements. Coupled with our steady recovery to overall schedule since January makes it reasonable to discontinue this communication tool.
  • We will continue to work directly with customers to discuss any impact to scheduled deliveries as quickly as possible. In order to ensure prompt and efficient responses, we ask that if you have questions, please work through your normal point of contact at the Orange facility.

I want to thank all of you for your patience in working with us as we recovered this site from a catastrophic event.  We look forward to serving you well into the future.  Thank you!

In service,

Pete Knapper

President and Chief Executive Officer
